Analyst

The Analyst at Jnomics plays a crucial role in generating data-driven insights and supporting project teams to drive the best values for the client.

This role requires a commitment to producing reliable, high-quality analysis, a strong knowledge of digital tools, and the ability to communicate complex information effectively.

 The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and passionate about enhancing client value through innovative problem-solving and data visualization.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting project leads in developing needs assessments, strategies and capacity building activities for the clients 

  • Provide data-backed insights to support strategy development and client presentations.

  • Contribute to brainstorming sessions by suggesting data-informed ideas and recommendations.

  • Track and analyze the performance of digital content across platforms (e.g., social media, YouTube, websites).

  • Identify patterns in content engagement, audience demographics, and reach.

  •  Report on content insights and recommend strategies for enhancing engagement and reach.

  • Data gathering, analysis, and visualization during the projects 

  • Trend analysis and forecasting: monitoring and analyze industry trends to provide clients with relevant market insights.

  • Use historical data and predictive models to forecast future trends (market, financial, organizational)

  • Prepare reports and briefings that highlight key trends and potential impacts for clients.

  • Support client meetings by preparing and presenting data-driven insights tailored to client needs.

  • Work with clients to define relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for measuring campaign or business success.

  • Identify opportunities to streamline data analysis processes, reducing manual efforts and increasing efficiency.

  • Implement automation tools where possible, such as scripting for data extraction or report generation.

  • Conducting competitive analysis and market research 

  • Designing, building, and maintaining interactive dashboards for ongoing reporting and data visualization.

Required Tools & Technical Skills


Tools:

  • SQL: working with databases 

  • Python: modeling, data analysis and ML

  • Alteryx or openRefine ( data cleaning, transformation and integration)

  • Looker Studio: creating dashboards 

  • Data Scraping tools 

  • Excel: Advanced proficiency, including financial modeling and data analysis.

  • PowerPoint: Skilled in creating presentations that are both visually appealing and data-driven.

  • Visualization Tools: Familiarity with Flourish, Datawrapper, thinkCell, Figma, and Canva.

  • Analytics Platforms: Knowledgeable in Google Analytics, social media analytics tools, and SEO analysis.

Skills:

  • Analytical and critical thinking: ability to interpret data, identify trends, and draw insights, hypothesis development, evaluating reliability of data sources, and conducting root cause analysis

  • Data Collection & Structuring: Proficient in gathering, organizing, and structuring data for analysis.

  • Data Analysis: Proficiency in quantitative analysis and familiarity with statistical techniques like regression, forecasting, and predictive modeling.

  • Problem-Solving: Develop innovative approaches to data challenges and project goals. Ability to design and implement effective, data-backed solutions.

  • Presentation Design: Expertise in creating and sketching effective presentation narratives.

  • Data Scraping: Familiar with methods for collecting data from various sources.

  • Market Research: Skilled in competitive analysis, trend forecasting, and market sizing.

  • Financial Modeling: Able to analyze P&L, cash flow, and balance sheets.

  • Time management: Efficiently managing multiple data sources, analyses, and deadlines.

Areas of Expertise

  • Social Media: Skilled in analyzing social media metrics and identifying actionable insights.

  • Websites: Experience in website analytics, including traffic patterns and user behavior.

  • YouTube: Familiarity with video platform analytics, content performance, and audience insights.

  • SEO: Proficient in SEO analysis and strategy, focusing on increasing online visibility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Media, Data Science, Economics, or a related field

  • Proven analytical skills with experience using Excel, PowerPoint, and visualization tools

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to present complex findings clearly

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects independently

  • A collaborative mindset with a commitment to learning and continuous improvement
